Anti-Money Laundering Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Our Commitment

Payable is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. We comply with applicable AML laws in all jurisdictions we operate in.

Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

All users must complete KYC verification before sending money. We verify identity using BVN (Nigeria), government-issued IDs, and third-party identity verification services.

Transaction Monitoring

All transactions are monitored for suspicious patterns including: unusual amounts, high-frequency transfers, transfers to high-risk countries, and structuring (splitting to avoid limits).

Suspicious Activity

Suspicious transactions are flagged for manual review by our compliance team. We reserve the right to suspend accounts pending investigation and report suspicious activity to relevant authorities.

Source of Funds

For large transfers, we may request documentation confirming the source of funds. Failure to provide this may result in account suspension.

Prohibited Activities

Payable must not be used for: drug trafficking, human trafficking, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion, or any other illegal activity. Violations will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities.

Record Keeping

We retain all transaction records, KYC documents, and activity logs for a minimum of 7 years in compliance with financial regulations.

Staff Training

Our team is trained on AML regulations and suspicious activity detection. We conduct regular reviews of our AML procedures.
